Kyle Cruz

Kyle serves as the Managing Partner and Chairman of the Investment Committee of Cross Rapids.  He has over 22 years of investing and corporate governance experience.

Prior to founding Cross Rapids in 2020, Kyle was a Partner and Senior Managing Director at Centerbridge Partners, where he focused on private equity and special situations investing across the industrials and services sectors from 2007 through 2019.  Kyle became Partner in 2013 and also served as a member of the firm’s Private Equity Investment Committee and Valuation & Allowance Committee.  Previously, Kyle worked in private equity for Diamond Castle Holdings, DLJ Merchant Banking, and J.W. Childs Associates.  He began his career as an Analyst in the Mergers & Acquisitions Group at Goldman Sachs.

Kyle serves on the Board of Directors of New York City Police & Fire Widows’ & Children’s Benefit Fund, an organization that supports families impacted by line of duty deaths, and on the Board of Directors of WHEDco, a community development organization focused on the South Bronx.

Kyle graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Michigan, where he earned a BBA with high distinction in Business Administration.  He also received an MBA with honors from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, where he was a Palmer Scholar.
