Donovan Boyd

Donovan is an Executive Partner at Cross Rapids.  He has over 20 years of senior leadership experience and over 40 years of experience in the industrial and services sectors.  Donovan has completed four successful private equity exits as CEO or Chairman, served on five corporate boards, and overseen companies with combined revenue of approximately $4 billion, all in our core sectors.

From 2011 to 2017, Donovan was first Executive Chairman, then Chairman of Aquilex Holdings, which was a successful round-trip transaction with the founder investment partners of Cross Rapids.  From 2011 to 2012 he was also CEO of the HydroChem division of Aquilex Holdings.  From 2003 to 2007, Donovan was CEO of HydroChem, and from 1997 to 2003 he was a senior executive at HydroChem.  From 1991 to 1997, Donovan was an executive at Enclean, which was an industrial services business, and then at Waste Management, which acquired the company.  Prior to 1991, Donovan was a general manager at ITP Boston, which was a factory automation company, and the plant manager of a Westinghouse chemical complex.  Donovan began his career as a process engineer at Thiokol Chemical Corporation.

Donovan has served as Chairman of Linestar Integrity Services, Director of The Brock Group, Executive Chairman, then Chairman of B&G Crane, Director of Brand Energy, and Advisor to several prominent private equity groups.

Donovan graduated from Tulane University, where he earned a B.S. in Chemical Engineering.  He also received an MBA from Harvard Business School.
